Church and a Montreal Blizzard

We woke up to a blizzard
With wind and blowing snow
We wear our boots to go to church
We haven’t far to go.

The drifts did not deter us
We made it to the door
The rector was expecting us
We had been there before.

He gave us each a reading
The lessons, one and two
We read them from the lectern
That wasn’t hard to do.

As we walked back on our return
We had a happy sight
The janitor had made a path
So we got home alright.
