A 'nothing' Day
I'm glad to have a 'nothing' day I seem to need repair. I can think to many things to do but energy's not there I circled through the park awhile My walker offered rest. A squirrel asked for food from me. I couldn't answer his request. Now I am back and in my chair I contemplate my mail. It's such a joy to be in touch By jet, by phone by mail.

I long for closeness, each to each,
I'm spent before I start the day And I am not impressed. I'll decide what is essential And forget about the rest. I'm glad not much depends upon me. My dear one made provision. I long for closeness, each to each, When there's a group decision. If these things, stress me in the night When I ought to be out cold, They wreck the rhythm of my life That is already old.

A Singer
The entertainer thought of us And what we would like best. His repetoire was excellent, His guitar, his songs, the rest. It's long ago that he was young He did his singing well. With that he smilled from ear to ear. What else is there to tell? I wasn't really in the mood. I stayed until the end, But around me they were strangers I just wished I had my friend.
