The world Cup is the most known and most watched soccer event around. Almost every single country in the world has a soccer team. A favourite is Brazil and well liked players on that team are Renaldo and Danielson. Personally my favourite teams are Italy, France, England and Germany. Some good Players on those teams are Del Pierro, Beckem and Klinsman. The World Cup happens every four years, the most recent one in 1998 took place in France. France won against Brazil which was a surprise to many people because Brazil has been wining the World cup for a long time.
There are many soccer tournaments in which clubs participate. Not international teams, just various league teams in that particular country. Recently Manchester United won a tournament (They are a Team from England.) Also every four years is a UEFA cup which is organised in England.
Soccer is sponsored by many big brand name companies like Adidas, Nike, and Umbro. In my opinion soccer is the best sport in the world.
