HOCKEY






I've been playing hockey for about six years now. I've had my good and bad coaches. I still enjoyed it every step of the way. Hockey is considered to be Canada's sport .

The Stanely Cup is the goal of every team. To win the Stanely Cup you must firt make it to the play-offs. After you make the playoffs, you must then compete against other teams in seven game series. The one who wins all their series wins the Stanely Cup. This may sound like an easy task, but to be the best out of twenty-seven other teams in the N.H.L is not easy. Many players will go through there entire career without winning the Stanely Cup. There are many other trophies awarded for different accomplishments. For example the person with the most points will win the Art Ross trophy. Other trophies ar the Lady Byng trophie, The Maurice Richard trophy ect...

As well as the N.H.L, hockey is also played internationally. Hockey is played all over the world. It is played all accross America, Europe, even china. Every year during the winter Olympics, all the international teams play each other. Since this tournament began, Canada has dominated it on ever level. Until recently, now the States are starting to pick it up. Other close competitors are Russia, Finland and Sweeden.

Hockey is sponsored by many big brand name. Companies like Bauer, Nike, and CCM. In my opinion hockey is the best sport in the world.
