Pearl Jam
One of my favorite bands of all time is Pearl Jam. I have loved them ever since my brother got their album, Ten. The first song that really got me interested in them was Even Flows. Even to this day, I absolutely adore that song. Recently, my friend bought their relatively new album, Yield, and she gave it to me, knowing what a die hard Pearl Jam fan I am.
Something you probably wouldn't know unless you actually had Yield, would be about two 'hidden' songs on the album. Though you could easily find their discography on the Internet, most of the time people don't talk about extra or hidden songs. On Yield, at the end of All Those Yesterdays, the last song, there is a long pause, about a minute long, before it gets to an instrumental. There is also song number 8 that is a mystery, still, to some people. It doesn't have a name, it's simply a red dot.
The band consists of Eddie Vedder, vocals and guitar, Stone Gossard on bass guitar, Mike McCready on electric guitar, Jeff Ament on bass and finally, Jack Irons on the drums.
I don't really know how to explain why I love their music so much. It's not just the rhythm or the lyrics, but something about them really gets to me. I can't wait until their new album comes out, which is set to be released very soon.
